Who am I?

David has taught conversational English for over 5 years and helped students from a wide range of backgrounds with speaking, listening, reading and writing. Apart from grammar, he focuses on pronunciation and accent modification and adopts methods used by leading speech therapists.

Methods

David completed the Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) in 2012 and use this to help his clients improve their communication skills, career prospects and prepare for IELTS and other occupational tests. He tries to give his students a number of options to improve their spoken and written English, and pushes them to follow their interests to make classes fun and interesting.

Client Base

David understands how important it is to be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the workplace. His clients have included business people, IT specialists, doctors, lawyers, university students and other professionals from China, Japan, India and many other countries. David's professional clients have included Microsoft, Black & Decker, Ikea and NTT Docomo (Japan). 

Background

David has completed degrees in Science and Law, and has worked as a lawyer, in government and other industries. He is continually working to improve his teaching skills and effectiveness.
