Who am I?
David has taught conversational English for over 5 years and has helped students from a wide range of backgrounds with speaking, listening, reading and writing. Apart from grammar, conversation and fluency, he focuses on pronunciation and adopts methods used by leading speech therapists. He has completed degrees in Science and Law and has worked as a lawyer and in government. He strives to continuously improve his teaching skills and effectiveness.
Methods
David completed the Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults, CELTA, in 2012 and uses the skills learned to help his clients improve their communication skills, career prospects and to prepare for IELTS and other occupational tests. He completed a specialist pronunciation course in 2013 designed by the Institute of Language and Phonology, and offers specialised pronunciation courses to his students. David appreciates that students learning methods can vary and adapts his teaching style to each individual student's needs. He gives his students different options to improve their spoken and written English, and pushes them to follow their interests to make classes fun and interesting.

David understands how important it is to be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the workplace. His clients have included business managers and CEOs, IT specialists, doctors, lawyers, university students and other professionals from China, Japan, India and many other countries. David's professional clients have included employees from Microsoft, Black & Decker, Ikea, NTT/Docomo, Netwealth and Mecca Cosmetica.
